John C. Smith

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

John C. Smith, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of TMA Systems, is originally from the Chicago area. He studied accounting at Oklahoma State University and received both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting. He holds a Certified Public Accountant certificate and is on the board of directors of several technology companies. Over the past 25 years, he has consulted with, owned, or managed several technology companies through his association with Deloitte & Touche, The Williams Companies, Muzak and several investment banking firms. John has worked in more than 35 countries throughout the world.

Since 1999, John has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company as well as the strategic direction the company is taking both domestically and internationally. He can be contacted at john.smith@tmasystems.com

Gary R. Schaecher

Founder

Gary Schaecher, Founder of TMA Systems, is originally from Illinois. He studied electronics in the U.S. Navy and graduated with a Bachelor in Educational Studies from the University of Missouri. Prior to TMA, he founded, owned and managed a three-state retail chain specializing in high-tech outdoor adventure clothing and equipment.

Always interested in technology, Gary began programming an inventory control program in 1981 for his retail stores. In 1987, he recognized the need for a robust Computerized Maintenance Management System solution for the facilities market and began programming. In 1988, he founded TMA Systems and sold version 1.0.

Dustin Taylor

President

Dustin Taylor, President of TMA Systems, is originally from the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area. He studied marketing at Northeastern State University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He has more than 26 years of experience in the information management industry, focusing primarily on sales of facility management and financial accounting software applications. Prior to joining TMA in 1999, he was the Director of Marketing for a technology consulting firm.

Michael Koenig

Vice President of Business Development

Mike Koenig, Vice President of Business Development of TMA Systems, is originally from the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. He has more than 17 years of experience in the information management industry, focusing primarily on selling software solutions to the facility management industry. Prior to joining TMA in 1999, he was the Manager of Training for a financial services firm.

Chris Hartshorn

Chief Operating Officer 

Chris Hartshorn, TMA Systems Chief Operating Officer, is originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.  He holds a Certified Public Accountant certificate. He spent six years with Ernst & Young providing audit services for various industries including: biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and technology companies.

Patrick Smith

Director of Advanced Technology

Patrick Smith, the Director of Advanced Technology at TMA Systems, is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.  He has over 15 years of experience in software development.  Prior to joining TMA Systems, Patrick had a research position with the federal government.

Tabor Ellison

Director of Engineering

Tabor Ellison, Director of Engineering for TMA Systems, is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Northeastern State University in the Business Administration program and has more than 17 years of experience in web development and software creation, focusing primarily on enterprise-level information management systems. Prior to joining TMA in early 2007, he was the lead developer for an international nutritional company.

Jessica Siong

Director of International Business Development

Jessica Siong, TMA Systems Director of International Business Development, is originally from Moreno Valley, California. She graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Education. She has a diverse background with over 15 years in real estate sales and marketing and 5 years of accounting and management in the car rental industry. Prior to joining TMA, she owned and managed a real estate firm as a broker.

Jessica is responsible for the overall development of sales and marketing channels for TMA’s international expansion. She serves as the primary liaison for global partners in their efforts to develop and expand TMA within their markets. She can be contacted at jessica.siong@tmasystems.com  

Patti Hickey

Director of Finance and Administration

Patti Hickey, TMA Director of Finance and Administration, is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. She majored in accounting at the University of Oklahoma where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting field. Prior to joining TMA in 2002, she worked in the public accounting and oil and gas industries.
