About the client
Challenges
With two major campus spaces that utilize an urban and rural infrastructure respectively, the university administration needed a way to standardize its maintenance processes against the different reporting structures of each campus.
Additionally, the administrative team of the healthcare and academic organization needed a way to measure timely maintenance activities and compliance with its corrective work orders. This was needed to ensure that the administrative staff was able to appropriately service its own facilities as well as support the customers who used them.
Solution
Having worked with TMA Systems for almost 10 years, the university administration was already currently using the latest version of the WebTMA CMMS/EAM solution for its operational needs. Over the course of this period, the university was able to use the platform to effectively standardize a variety of maintenance tasks, checklists, and other inspection protocols to meet the unique needs of each of its campuses.
One of the main approaches for the university was condition-based preventive maintenance. It is a process that requires in-depth reporting to ensure success. In this regard, WebTMA’s intuitive dashboards, analytical capabilities, and easy accessibility allowed the institution’s technicians to get detailed information on assets. This provided a clear picture of whether what was being done was too much or too little to optimize asset maintenance effectively. Besides, the client’s objective was also to engage the least fraction of the workforce in the process.
Finally, TMA System’s customer service and support have provided the client with a sense of security and confidence in its overall campus maintenance processes. In the event of any issue or query, TMA Systems’ teams provide swift responses to the client’s requests and take suggestions into consideration for future updates.
Benefits
With the annual work order count exceeding 160,000, the client was able to fulfill its demands efficiently and achieve enterprise-grade operations with the help of the WebTMA solution. In the last seven years, the university implemented six new facilities and used WebTMA to integrate and drive the highest standard of work in the operations and maintenance fields for those facilities. In the future, the university is even planning to expand WebTMA’s footprint into other areas such as capital planning, and further enhance other aspects of their university management processes.
